Guide To Affordable Workout Clothes

Okay, I know that not all of us can be like Taylor Swift and come from the gym still looking super cute and well put together. However, you can still look trendy even when you’re working out. Here are some suggestions for some trendy yet still super comfy clothing for you to wear when heading to the gym, out for a run, to sports practice, or whatever it might be.

These colorblock capri’s from Kohl’s aren’t my favorite color but they offer several other different colors also. These are the perfect bottoms to wear to the gym. They aren’t sweatpants but they aren’t ridiculously short either, you can still get active without get too hot and sweaty, you know what I mean?

Here’s yet another pair of pants that are colorblocked except this one is from Target. I really love the color of these leggings and think they would be awesome to workout in.

This one isn’t exactly cheap but if you’re looking for a fashionable supportive crossback sports bra, this is for you.

If you’re looking for something bound to make an impression, check this sports bra from Forever 21 out. And these VERY short shorts also from Forever 21 out. They would both go really well together.

Love these Zumiez galaxy workout pants. They are comfortable, affordable, and also cute and trendy. These are must haves for workout wears.

This Roxy’s hoodie is perfect if you’re going outside to run during the colder weather and what not. It’s an equal balance of comfortable and cute, therefore it’s perfect for wearing when working out.

What better place to shop for workout clothes then Nike? A lot of their stuff may seem a bit on the expensive side, but a lot of it is also pretty affordable and always good quality. Be sure to check out this particular sports bra and other workout gear and running shoes.

Sports Fashion In Movies

Okay stay with me here, it may seem weird to get any type of inspiration from characters in movies about sports. However, if you want a little bit of a sporty look, these can be some cool suggestions to take notes from! I tried to make this gender neutral. Basically, it’s more about the comfort that these characters provide then looking super fashionable.

Dottie Hinson from A League Of Their Own

Dottie from A League Of Their Own has an effortless tomboy look that is pretty chic and awesome. She also has really great hair that you probably wouldn’t want to have today when playing softball or whatever sport you play, since you’re bound to get that gorgeous hair extremely dirty. But hey, it’d look just as great pulled back as well. I love the uniforms that they wear in this movie although they are definitely more than a little bit outdated. I still think they look beyond cool.

Lizzie Bradbury from Wimbledon

Kirsten Dunst also has perfect hair in this movie. Her character has a fairly simple style as a tennis player. But again, her hair looks awesome and I really love her skirt. Plus, her scarf in the first picture also proves that the character herself has a great sense of style. You can look athletic on the court, and be a fashionista off the court and I love that fact.

Missy Pantone from Bring It On!

Okay, so this one is on a more goth route than the other two for sure. But I thought it’d be best to represent a lot of different styles and this is certainly mixing the list up quite a bit so why not? I picked to talk about Missy because I already talked about one character played by Kirsten Dunst so I figured this was the best choice. Plus I dig how different Missy is from other characters. She auditions for the squad in the outfit that can be seen here in the first picture. Then she has a transformation in a sense, and becomes a cheerleader. However, she doesn’t become preppy by any means. She still keeps her attitude throughout the movie which is great to watch. And I love the personal addition she adds to her style. Missy is definitely the coolest cheerleader in movie history.

Amazon Student

Hey guys!

I’m sure a lot of you use Amazon to get your shopping done. Amazon is really great with their Student deal. If you’re a student, you can sign up and get 6 months free shipping with Amazon Prime. The only downside is that you don’t get access to Amazon music, instant streaming, or books. But as a college student myself, I can say that it’s a reasonable deal to get free shipping on these essential items that you’re purchasing. After your six months free is up, students can get half off full access to Amazon Prime which includes the instant streaming, music, and books. The original price is $99 a year but students get $49 a year. That’s not a bad deal at all considering all that it comes with! So just consider that if you do sign up for Amazon Student and be sure to cancel it so you won’t be charge if that’s what you want.

If you sign up for Amazon Student today, I get $10. I could really use the money so it’d mean a lot if you did that for me! Be sure to spread the word and refer your friends as well so you’ll also get money from it.

How To Dress Like Ariana Grande

Here is an article that I wrote for Teen Scene about how to dress like one of my big fashion icons Ariana Grande! I think the girl is straight up gorgeous. I love her hair and just her style in general. She always looks extremely classy and she knows how to accessorize. I could even update this more, let’s just talk about how fabulous she looked at the Grammy’s?! It’s crazy to see how far she’s come since her Broadway days! But anyway, here is a link to the article which I hope you enjoy reading!

Fashion Icon: Audrey Hepburn

Classy and iconic actress Audrey Hepburn is the epitome of a true fashion icon. She has inspired so many actresses, models, and just everyday people in general. Here are some of Aubrey’s most famous looks that I personally love and has influenced me to wear something similar. Everyone needs a little Aubrey Hepburn in their lives.

This is the traditional LBD that became Hepburn’s signature look. Although it’s still extremely popular, no one pulls it off quite like Aubrey. She’s not showing off her body, she’s just wearing a classy and beautiful dress that she clearly loves.

This is THE Audrey Hepburn classic look. After looking at this picture, it’s not hard to see why. The gloves plus her necklace and gorgeous bun and hair piece makes the outfit truly come together. This is a look that will continue to be continually recreated and remembered.

Not many people can rock sunglasses quite as well as Audrey can. Her bathing suit is totally chic and stunning. Plus her timeless pixie cut is showcased here so it’s obviously an important look that we shouldn’t forget about.

I could be wrong but there wasn’t a whole lot of actresses wearing pant suits like this back in the day. Most actresses wore only dresses that showed off their curves and other body parts. (I’m looking at you, Marilyn Monroe) There’s nothing wrong with that, but Hepburn brought something new to the table by making this minimal look such a classy looking one. She was skinny and lacked curves, but she was different from other movie stars at the time and we embrace her look and timeless beauty.

Spring Into Fashion!

March gives us some serious hope that Spring is just around the corner. While we’ve had glimpses of Spring this winter, it’s always gone back to the bitter cold at the end of the day. But there’s definitely some hope that Spring is lurking in the shadows waiting to come out. So here are some looks inspired by the warmer weather that will hopefully give you some inspiration and hope.

1. Mod Cloth Skirt

Corny names aside, this is ridiculously cute skirt that’s perfect for Spring.

2. UO Dress

I can always count on Urban Outfitters for the cutest clothes regardless of the season. There’s just something about their Spring collection that is even more amazing than usual. I highly recommend buying one or two things from there if you need some cute clothes for this season!

3. Wallet from LuLu’s

This super adorable bow wallet from LuLu’s is perfect for Spring! You can just carry it around wherever you go and manage to look extremely style while doing it. I highly recommend this one!

4. Sunglasses from the Loft

Really love how stylish these sunglasses are. Spring may not be exactly the right time, but it’s close enough to get into the warm weather spirit of it all.

5. Anthropologie Oxfords

Obsessed with these oxfords. I’ve always thought these shoes were adorable but these are especially attractive to me. This is perfect for the weather and it’s cheerful and screams Spring.

6. Topshop Sundress

This might be more appropriate for summer. But if there’s some really nice days or if you have a special event, this would be an adorable dress to wear. This is especially incredible for those of you going out of town for Spring break, maybe even taking a beach trip.

7. Charlotte Russe Top

The colors of this top have Spring written all over it. The crochet-back is lovely and pleasant. I love clothes from this store because of how the vibe is Spring and Summer.

8. Wet Seal Shirt

This basic floral print shirt is essential and weather appropriate. Wet Seal offers affordable and trendy clothes. You got to love the colors and patterns.

9. Old Navy Shorts

These shorts may be a little too early to break out. However, if you’re going to the beach for break, these are needed. The floral pattern is gorgeous and fun. Old Navy definitely has the cutest shorts.

10. H&M Shorts

Figured I’d include one more pair of shorts. These are very Summer like, but will work in Spring as well. High waist shorts are the best so we might as well start breaking them out before Summer officially begins.

President’s Day Sales

Due to the snow day, it turns out I have more time than I would’ve otherwise had. Here are some of the best President’s Day sales that I could find.

Charlotte Russe

Shipping costs only a penny for orders over $30. The store also has an additional 25% off. Charlotte Russe is one of my favorite stores but I haven’t found anything that’s really stuck out to me online. However, I do think this is a deal worth checking out.

Forever 21

Free shipping with no minimum today only. There’s also 30% off handbags. The prices are extremely affordable and I think it’s a big deal to take advantage of the free shipping while you can.

Loft

There’s 50% off regular items and an additional 60% sales items. Yeah, the Loft is on the expensive side. But this is a big sale with really great quality clothing.

Urban Outfitters

This retail store has a HUGE sale right now. There’s no shipping and no tax. The prices for Denim starts at $19.99, as does Women’s sweaters. Women’s tops start at $9.99. Don’t miss this one!

H&M

Not sure about the shipping, it’s probably about $3 or $4, probably an additional $6 or more. But there’s 70% off everything and the prices are as low as $4.95.

American Eagle

Free shipping with no minimum today only. There’s also 60% off clearance items. If you buy one jean, you get the second one 50%.

Nordstrom

Free shipping and free returns all the time. 40% off until February 22. Probably one of the worst sales on here due to how expensive the clothes originally is.

These are the sales that are the biggest to me personally. I also recommend using Ebates for any purchases that you make so you can get some cashback. Did I forget any sales that you’re checking out? Be sure to let me know! I want to provide you guys with the best information and deals so let me know if I missed any.

Valentine’s Day Date Outfits

If you have a date this Valentine’s Day, it’s important to have a nice outfit. Maybe you probably should already have an outfit picked out, but these are some suggestions just in case you have a date in the next couple of days that you haven’t planned out an outfit for.

ASOS Dress

This dress is a little too expensive for me. The free shipping is definitely a big plus though. This is a simple yet classy dress that is bound to impress any potential date.

Forever 21 Dress

This is a nice and reasonably cheap dress. It’s simple yet elegant and I love this. I think it’s perfect to wear on a date because it isn’t too much but it’s just enough.

Red Elegant Dress

These next two are also from Forever 21. This one is stunning because of the color and the general design. It’s really simple but it’s a killer as well. It’ll look incredible with accessories: a necklace, bracelet, hair piece, scarf, etc. Adding a little bit more color will add to this stunning red dress. I think the price is impressive too.

Diamond

A diamond dress from Forever 21. This one might seem to make too much of a statement. However, I really enjoy the design. It’s a generally unique dress that is bound to stand out.

I had a dress from Charlotte Russe all picked out but it was sadly sold out. So I’m just going to stick with these picks for now.

Online Shopping I Love

Online shopping is a lot more difficult than I anticipated. I expected it to be easy to navigate through all the online sites and what nots. Unfortunately, that turns out to not be the case. At least in my own experience, I find it hard to narrow out the options since there’s just so much to choose from. Here’s a few sites that have become my trusty companion for online shopping.

Urban Outfitters

Need I say more? Urban Outfitters is one of the best options for online shopping. Yes, the clothes run a bit on the expensive side at times. But there’s just so many options and there’s more than just clothes offered there as well. They also have cool gifts, stationery, beauty products, cards, posters, and record players. They have everything one could possibly need.

H&M

This store is really rad and always seems to have some sort of sale happening. They have any and all clothes, accessories, etc. that you could possibly want. They have cute and affordable items. This is definitely an essential store for any college student or human on a budget!

Forever 21

They also have some really great deals happening all the time. My favorite types of sales are the buy one get one free ones or the free shipping ones! Forever 21 delivers on both of these deals. They have some awesome tees. It kind of bums me out that they don’t have any jeans but they have some classy pants to make up for it.

GoJane

It’s not all that different from the other sites I’ve already listed, BUT GoJane is even cheaper than a lot of the other sites. They also have really useful coupons and codes to get some major discounts.

Urban OG

They have cute things. Need I say much more?

ASOS

ASOS is located in the UK but they also happen to have a store here in America that has some great clothing to choose from.
