Spring Break Update!

Here is a quick update involving Spring break. I’ve talked about this break endlessly throughout the month so far. Now it is actually time for the break. At least it is for me, I’m not sure if that’s earlier than everyone else or not. The break is a whole week off school. The question now that’s left to answer is: What are you going to do all break? Here are some fairly general ideas of what to do. This is just my first list, I’ll follow up with more specific lists according to what you should read/listen to/watch throughout the week.

  • Sleep in

This is the most obvious yet one of the most important of all. It’s also the one I look forward to the most.

  • Hangout with people you don’t normally

Do your best to interact with people you normally aren’t able to during the school year. Take advantage of the time you have to do what you want with some old and important friends.

  • Spring cleaning

This sounds really boring and not a great way to spend your time off. However, it can be nice to be productive. Getting things done can feel pretty good.

  • Organizing stuff

This goes hand in hand with cleaning. The difference is this one is more moving stuff around instead of just cleaning things up around your house. Providing some organization and moving around your furniture is a good idea to prepare for the upcoming season.

  • Get out of the house at least once a day

Staying inside your house all day is a waste of your break. You need to take advantage of being able to get out and not being stuck in classrooms for the majority of your day. Even if the weather turns out to be too cold, at least go to a movie or the mall. Go with relatives if you have to, just get out there and enjoy being able to do whatever you want for the week. You won’t regret it.

Spring Into Fashion!

March gives us some serious hope that Spring is just around the corner. While we’ve had glimpses of Spring this winter, it’s always gone back to the bitter cold at the end of the day. But there’s definitely some hope that Spring is lurking in the shadows waiting to come out. So here are some looks inspired by the warmer weather that will hopefully give you some inspiration and hope.

1. Mod Cloth Skirt

Corny names aside, this is ridiculously cute skirt that’s perfect for Spring.

2. UO Dress

I can always count on Urban Outfitters for the cutest clothes regardless of the season. There’s just something about their Spring collection that is even more amazing than usual. I highly recommend buying one or two things from there if you need some cute clothes for this season!

3. Wallet from LuLu’s

This super adorable bow wallet from LuLu’s is perfect for Spring! You can just carry it around wherever you go and manage to look extremely style while doing it. I highly recommend this one!

4. Sunglasses from the Loft

Really love how stylish these sunglasses are. Spring may not be exactly the right time, but it’s close enough to get into the warm weather spirit of it all.

5. Anthropologie Oxfords

Obsessed with these oxfords. I’ve always thought these shoes were adorable but these are especially attractive to me. This is perfect for the weather and it’s cheerful and screams Spring.

6. Topshop Sundress

This might be more appropriate for summer. But if there’s some really nice days or if you have a special event, this would be an adorable dress to wear. This is especially incredible for those of you going out of town for Spring break, maybe even taking a beach trip.

7. Charlotte Russe Top

The colors of this top have Spring written all over it. The crochet-back is lovely and pleasant. I love clothes from this store because of how the vibe is Spring and Summer.

8. Wet Seal Shirt

This basic floral print shirt is essential and weather appropriate. Wet Seal offers affordable and trendy clothes. You got to love the colors and patterns.

9. Old Navy Shorts

These shorts may be a little too early to break out. However, if you’re going to the beach for break, these are needed. The floral pattern is gorgeous and fun. Old Navy definitely has the cutest shorts.

10. H&M Shorts

Figured I’d include one more pair of shorts. These are very Summer like, but will work in Spring as well. High waist shorts are the best so we might as well start breaking them out before Summer officially begins.

March Theme: Education

Happy March! Wow, I can’t believe it’s already March. It feels like January was just yesterday but now it’s halfway through the spring semester and that’s insane to me. March marks many different things: warm weather, breaks, and it also gets us closer to the end of this school year. This month is going to be about education and will hopefully have some tips that you guys will find helpful tips to bring us to the end of the semester. Besides an academic education, I will also provide recommendations for what to binge watch on Netflix and all that jazz.
